Fr. Cummins Trip to Viking’s Stadium

For Fr. Cummins 80th Birthday in April, the Parish and Community gave Fr. Cummins a trip to Minnesota to see a Vikings game and visit his friend Coach Mike Zimmer. Maureen & Tim Hamilton accompanied Fr. Cummins. Here is Maureen’s summary of the trip. “The Vikings treated us like royally and gave us a lifetime opportunity. Fr Cummins flew to Minnesota on Wed. Aug 30th and enjoyed a tour of Vikings stadium that afternoon. He met Coach Mike Zimmer in his office for visit Thursday and a tour of the practice facility. Then Fr. Cummins celebrated Mass for coaches and team. After that we took a limousine out to lunch in a private room at a wonderful restaurant with just Mike and us. Plenty of talk about previous and future fishing trips! We were on the field for team warm up about 5pm. There Fr Cummins met Ziggy Wilf, team owner and Rick Spielman team general manager. We were not disappointed with the Viking’s loss as Mike told us that he was playing only possible new players. We ended the evening by attending the NFL coach press conference. Fr. Cummins flew home on Friday. Perfect trip! Peace. Maureen”
